Learn How to Build Twitter with Firebase!

My first freelance project was to build an ecommerce site for my girlfriend and her partner's online business. At that time, I barely know how to build websites and apps.

But I started anyway because all I wanted to do was help others with what I learnt.

I kept going and over the months and years after that, my online business continues to grow.

How did I do it all? In this episode, I shared my 3 simple lessons I applied to get freelance clients.

Enjoy!

Takeaways:

  1. Build your personal website that includes your portfolio. People don't know what you are capable of till they see what you created. These apps in your portfolio can be apps you publish or simply apps you learnt to create.
  2. Start now. Start from your current social network. You know what you have to do. You have to knock the doors and ask the local restaurant to build them a website or an app. You know you have to get on freelancing websites like freelancer.com or fiverr and start asking people. Start! Start! Start!
  3. Ask for referrals. Once you get a client and serve him/her well, ask for referrals. Keep broadening and deepening your connections. Chances are that guy knows another business owner who needs your skills.
